Your question seems to assume a level of sophistication far beyond anything that has ever gone into the production of this blog, which is dashed off principally for my own amusement whenever time permits.<br /><br />For reasons unknown to me, most of its most dedicated followers seem to be based in the USA, so they will probably have been baffled by the reference to The Ivy (a well-known restaurant in London, England, much favoured by celebrities, I should no doubt have added to the original post).<br /><br />I always refer to Cafe 21 as Newcastle's equivalent of The Ivy, mainly because it is the one place in the city where I have ever knowingly found myself eating in the presence of a celebrity at the next table. Mind you, it was Sir Bobby Robson, so that particular bit of history is unlikely to repeat itself.<br /><br />But which serves the better food?
